# Corner Country

Outback Australia Touring Region## Cameron Corner, Outback NSW

Corner Country, Outback Australia

The Corner Country is the outback region radiating from Cameron Corner — the surveyed point where New South Wales, Queensland and South Australia meet. It is bounded by the Darling River in the south, the Simpson Desert in the west, and Charleville & Windorah in the northeast. Tibooburra is the main town (330 km north of Broken Hill), with historic Milparinka 40 km to its south.

While the Murray-Darling Basin does not extend to Cameron Corner, a lot of the Corner Country does and there are some great touring routes that link the two.

The Corner Country is one of the most popular travel regions of Australia encompassing the outback regions of New South Wales, Queensland, and South Australia. The 'Corner' refers to Cameron Corner, the geographical point where the three states meet, and while not a precisely defined area, it is bounded by the Darling River in the south, the Simpson Desert in the west, and Charleville & Windorah in the northeast.

There is so much to do in the northwest corner of NSW with Tibooburra being the main town in the area (330 km north of Broken Hill), while Milparinka (40 km south of Tibooburra) provides a 'look back in time' experience.
